So here is the skippy :O)
Several years ago some fighters were sitting about talking as you all do, and a young Man came up with an idea of Fighter trading cards.
This man was a young Jonathon Whitewolf.
Now as all stories go, many others have had the same idea at some point or another, so I also give to them credit for the inspiration of the fighter trading cards.
Also how so many stories get repeated over time, I was sitting at a dinner with some friends and this idea was talked about. My ears perked up and I said "Well I could do that, do you want me to?" With a resounding yes, laughter and ideas floating around the table, so set the cards in motion.
Now then what would these be if there are not rare cards, rookie cards, or many different fighters on the cards to make it interesting to trade? So sets this site in motion. Here you can view your picture, add pictures, and give me the information you would wish on your card (your stats).
I know there is no way for me to find all of you, so I am asking that if you wish to have your own card, to please submit it to me here. If you are able to attend Wednesday night practices at Encanto park, please find me on the fighter field (water bearing) and ask me to snap a photo of you.
I am attempting to have as many as I can, the first set, ready for Estrella War XX. So get your information and pics to me ASAP if you want in the first set.
Now you may have had your picture already taken and for some reason I do not have your name or information, I may only know you mundanely, or I may have had a brain cramp upon putting this site up and could not grasp your name. If this is the case and you do not see your name with your picture on this site, please take the number of your picture and e-mail me your SCA name and any little tidbits you wish on your trading card. If you hate the picture I have, well then just have a friend snap a new one and e-mail it to me .
This is for fun so please know the following conditions before you consent to your own card by e-mailing me.
1. These cards are for novelty and for fun
2. Any person who owns a card may trade it or keep it as they wish and is now their property
3. Any SCA Kingdom, Barony, Shire, or group may use these cards to raffle or sell to raise funds for SCA related projects.
4. Any and all SCA Kingdoms and members may submit pictures and cards to participate in the fighter trading cards.
5. New sets of trading cards will be available on a 6 month rotation.
6. If you do not receive a card with your own picture on it, please e-mail me with your address to get one to you.
7. Cards may be made available for sale, I am the sole owner of the cards and will give permission for the sale of these cards as warranted. There will be no gratuity or payment for your picture used on any cards for sale. Any SCA Kingdom, Barony, Shire or related group may sell these cards for SCA related funds without any permission. If you wish to sale cards for personal gain you must contact me via e-mail for written permission and ordering of product.
So there you have it.
I want to take a moment and thank all of you participating in the fighter cards, and hope you all have fun with it. Your compensation for gifting me with your wonderful smiles (and some stern stares) is one of your own cards upon their printing. I thank you so very much.
