Monday was a holiday, so I accepted an invitation to go with a student to the amusement park Everland.
My student's name is Ee Joo-won, but his English name is Bruce Lee.
Everland was a 90-minute busride away, but at least the bus was comfortable.
Plus, I am the world's worst photographer if I can't take a picture of myself without blinking.
I waited around while Bruce Lee bought some tickets.
Here's a ride we didn't go on.
There are no high drops in Korea. Everywhere they put up these nets. Some day I'm gonna jump over a railing and land in one just for fun.
There was a 60-minute wait for a suspended roller-coaster.
I'm starting to build up my collection of bad English.
And bad German...is it?
I'm not as authentically white as I thought, because I've never tried pottery before, such as in the Europe-themed section.
This chairlift brings you up to the bobsleigh ride.
These things actually walked around, and you'd put money in so it would bring you somewhere extremely slowly.
I got schooled by Bruce Lee in air hockey.
Korean post-modern ice cream. It's little frozen balls of ice cream that very slowly melt.
These girls were afraid or something, so I took a picture of them as they were coming down on the chairlift to embarrass them.
And we went down the bobsleighs, which were more like tiny luges. But I kept my mouth shut.
Now that I think about it, I feel kind of stupid going to a Korean cuisine restaurant here. We were in Korea, after all.
This was my first attempt taking exposure shots with the new camera, which I always favoured with the old one. I thought it was funny how this girl is illuminated by someone else's flash.
And it finished with a parade.
Now time to get work done.
