On Wednesday, the day after Greg's birthday (here), I went to the head office in Seocho for one final day of training.
The office is on the base of a very steep hill. Another English teacher later told me apparently there is a secret military base underneath the hill.
I climbed to the top to take this picture. It was so high, I could see all the way to Toronto. This picture was darkened so you could see through the smog.

This is looking down the hill.

This day of training was easiest because they took me into Mokdong to drop off an application at the immigration office. For those of you who aren't following, Mokdong and Seocho are neighbourhoods in Seoul.

Here's me with Jon Sunday, another English teacher who arrived from Toronto the day after I got there. He knew nothing about Korea before he came, but he learned about all their beer faster than I could keep up.

Here's Richard, figuring out where we were supposed to go. He drove us around the block for 45 minutes looking for a place to get our pictures taken.

We stopped at a local restaurant called "Bo Go King" for lunch.

Koreans love their cell phones. This is Jessica, one of the English teacher co-ordinators. She always looks mad in pictures.

I ordered a meal called a baicon dobur chi bogo.

You know, I forget this guy's name, but he was pretty cool.

This is the highest point in all of Korea, the KLI 63 Building. It's 63 floors high and higher than all mountains.

Anyway, the conclusion is: we drove around a long time, then came back from the immigration office two hours late for training. Oh well, I passed.
