Desert Hills Fire Department

Who are we?

We are a full-time Fire Department with a reserve firefigher program located in
The hot Arizona desert on beautiful Lake Havasu. Our district covers approximately 200
square miles of small communities, open desert, state Highway and interstate. Our calls can
range from simple medical assists to house fires, brush fires vehicle accidents, rock rescues
and even going after a snake in someone's yard or house.

VEHICLES

Rescue 1, Engine 21 and Engine 23 in front of the department

Rescue 1


Rescue 1 is a 2002 Tahoe used by our Chief as a first responder
vehicle. It is equiped for rescue and medical calls
It is also a command vehicle

Rescue 3


Rescue 3 is our 2002 Ford F-250, 4 wheel drive vehicle. It is used
primarily as a staff vehicle and on rescues off road

Rescue 5, a 2004 Ford F-550 Diesel with crew cab.
It is used mainly for medical calls but can respond to vehicle fires and is
equiped with a CAFS unit.

Engine 21


Engine 21 is a 2006 KME Custom Cab 2000 gallon pumper tanker.
It has seating for 6, CAF system with 150 gallons of foam.
It carries 1600 feet of hose and is equiped with a remote control deck gun that is also
capable of delivering CAF.

Engine 23, a 1993 KME 1250 Hale pump built on a Harvester International
4900 series chassis. It has a seating capacity of 5 with a 750 gallon tank.


Tanker 1

Tanker 1 is a 1991 E-One pumper tanker with a 1250 GPM pump, 2500 gallons of water.
It is on a International Chassis.

Tanker 2


Tanker 2 is a water tanker with a capacity of 1800 gallons. It is a 1991 GMC Topkick.
It has a 400 GPM portable pump with a 1800 gallon collapsable tank. It seats 3.
