Here lies a forgotten and fertile land, close to the mountain ranges of the east and the sea of memories to the north...only known to it's many inhabitants and their vile enemies as Astoria. Here live a special sort of people, ones that have been at peace for ages on end. This land, a refuge from the shadow lands known as Furmoria, was a beautiful yet rugged land, with every imaginable type of creature known. The majestic elves, the wandering dwarves that live deep within the hills of Bilston, the thieving hands of the kender that find themselves more happy in one of the taverns than in their own homes.
In the dark realms live such as the trolls, and the darker of the dwarves that have yet to find a truly peaceful co-exsistance with the trolls. But, they are not the ones that are to be watched for. They are not the ones that hunt for flesh to survive. Those, are the Nimh.
The Nimh are an army under the control of a very dark and evil man known as Lord Mulciber the Deathless. It was after the age of Light that they appeared on the horizon of the sea of memories...coming from the north. A place called Fumoria is where the seeds of hatred were spawned, and have ruled with an iron fist of death and destruction. To control all humanity is Lord Mulciber's obsession. On dark ships they came, fleets of thousands to disturb the peace that the people of Astoria had come to enjoy and love. The plundering of the elves forests pushed our friendly allies closer to the mounts where the trolls lived, and they are constantly trying to keep themselves alive with what resources their ancestors had given to them. The humans of the land, fight on almost a daily basis, just to keep their livelyhood in tact.
The lands of Astoria teem with adventure and intrigue. Darkness looms around each corner, the fear of what is next an ever present thought on each persons mind. The recent murder of King Lurethor, and the sudden disappearance of his son, Golmeth has everyone on edge. Will the elite forces known as the Chevalier's protect what is left of Astoria? Or will the almost faceless armies known as the Nimh's take over their realm, and let the Lord Mulciber rule with his evil dominion over them all?
