"All Hallows Eve"

All Hallows Eve, the thinning veil
hoot owls cry, and banshees wail
goblins dance 'neath full moonlight
crones on broomsticks take to flight.

Coffins, cats and pumpkin jacks
autumns hay in makeshift stacks
cobwebs drape the graveyard stones
eerie lights and tortured moans.

Ghosts and ghouls and vampire bats
witches topped with pointed hats
Mr. bones so tall and lean
all come to life on Halloween.

Around the fire a creepy tale
of shrouded ladies deathly pale
hoot owls cry, and banshees wail
All Hallows Eve, the thinning veil!
