One of the highlights of this set is the thermometer knobs, sometimes called "thermo-control knobs" which are built into the lids to help you regulate the cooking temperature. That means when you are trying to juggle a dozen kitchen chores while cooking, a simple glance at the thermometer tells you immediately if your food is cooking as it should be. It's very simple to read the thermometer. In the area of the three different colors there are numbers. The first color is yellow and contains the lowest numbers as far as the heat temperature is concerned. The second color is green, and it contains the 'medium' numbers of the heat temperature. This is where you would want the temperature to stay while you are cooking. The last color is red, and of course this area is the highest heat temperature. If the reading is showing in the yellow, the heat is too low, if it is in the red it is too high, and in the green means that your food is cooking properly.
If you should happen to be away from your stove when the gage reads that it is time to turn the heat down, no worries, you would hear the lid on the pot clinking a bit, and you would hear the steam escaping from around the lid just as you would with the steam-release valve knob.
All of the utensils feature a mirror finish outside and satin finish inside.
The handles are resistant to heat, cold and harsh detergents.
Because of the construction, each utensil in this set contains powerful heat transmitting properties which allows for fast and even heat distribution. You will never be bothered with "hot spots" with this set of cookware.

The Handles
The phenolic handles are superbly styled. They're resistant to heat, cold, and detergents. The handles were tested for durability in ovens up to 350 degrees, however, the manufacturer does not recommend placing the pots in an oven as they were made to be used on a stove-top. After all, why would want to turn your oven on when you can bake your food in this cookware right on top of your stove? The handles are riveted onto each pot.
