Image Info...

This image was taken on the way to the Subway in Zion National Park in October 2001.  Just before getting to this destination, there is an area where water cuts into the sandstone in a very defined channel.  Not quite all the water is confined to the channel, however, and it spreads out over the adjacent rock keeping it wet and slick looking.  It's a beautiful natural circumstance, and on this day was highlighted by the falling leaves and changing color of the season.
This image was taken with a Nikon FM2 35-mm camera and a Nikon 24-120 mm zoom lens set at 24-mm.  A polarizer was used and set at approximately half of its polarizing capability.  Exposure was for a second or two at f/22 on Velvia film.
