March 1999
March saw an ongoing battle between Korn’s "Freak on a Leash" and various pop music videos. At the end of the month these were the results:
1. Korn - 8
2. ‘N Sync - 8
3. 98 Degrees - 3
4. Britney Spears - 2
Backstreet Boys also had 2, but they were retired early in the month. I personally feel that it is a great accomplishment to be tied for first place with a boy band. And this is only because there are so many freakin teenyboppers who religiously vote. It’s amazing than anyone else even gets on the countdown. Amazing.
