In 1997, 32436 deaths occurred as a result of a firearm in the USA.

4223 were children UNDER the age of 20.

306 of those were determined to be unintentional shootings.

85% of ALL homicides were committed with a firearm.

63% of ALL suicides were committed with a firearm.

I realized that we have a problem in our country, but like so many others, it wasn't my problem and i didn't want to get involved. Unfortunately it took losing my youngest child and only son to a gunshot on 6/30/99, to make me stand up and do something about it.

With our training program we plan to teach everyone from the youngest child at preschool to the grandparents and great-grandparents at the adult living communities.
