Thank you for stopping by. Happy motoring.

These are some of the journals I read regularly. They've all been inspiring, either in terms of format, writing style, Website design or some other criteria I can't even think of now.

I'm always on the lookout for new journals to read, and this list is NOT indicative of the types of journals that I like---except to say that not all of them are popular.  If you can recommend a journal for me to add, please feel free to e-mail me to let me know, and you'll have my gratitude.  *EG*

Random Notes:  Terry Estep (Parkersburg, West Virginia)
Terry was the first person to exhibit friendship to me online way back in November 1998. He's a stand-up guy, and the one who really inspired me to give journalling a try.  His journal is vast and well-written.

Invisible Monsters:  Chris Vannoy (West Virginia)
Chris and I have a long, online camaraderie dating back to my first days online.  I've been reading his journals from the time where he first started keeping journals on the Internet.  Now that he's kinda back to updating regularly, I welcome his intelligent, emotional and distinctive voice back to the journalling ranks.  It's good to recommend his words again after some lengthy breaks.

 The bears of Live Journal

With the creation of my blog, I've had a chance to get acquainted with lots of bears and cubs from all over the place.  Their tales are, in their own right, fascinating to look at, and so I've decided to link up to them on these pages.  They have become my friends, and their tales are certainly worth looking at.  Get to know them here.

The Jon-Jon Diaries:  John Kusch (Milwaukee, Wisconsin)
I find John to be a very intelligent man whose journal is one of the most popular ventures online.  There's a depth and wit to his writings that have caught a lot of people's attention, and I also find him to be a woofy bear, too.  (I'm only human.)  He also has a weblog  and has a web 'zine, Bluff as well....he's a multifaceted, good man with a lot to offer.

Does It Quack:  Bear (eastern U.S.)
Bear is a friend from back east. She's a lesbian, I don't think she'd mind me saying, and she's the first lesbian on my reading list. She has a take-no-prisoners-or-any-crap attitude that comes through in her writing, and she loves her HoneyLove. I like her style, and her site, and look forward to a distinct perspective on things from her in the future. *G*

The LegalMoose's Glen:  Moose (Washington)
Moose is a lawyer in Washington (another employee of the reign of King George, the Heir-Select), and he counts Doug as one of his boyfriends...I think he's the lead boyfriend. In any event, he passed the bar somewhat recently, has his own journal, is a sweet and outgoing fella, and runs the Queer Diary Ring. I like his site, his sense of design---basically, I like him, and think there are good things yet to come from him.

Scenic Route:  Bruce Wilbur (Rochester, NY)
Bruce's creation is is truly a compelling story, a story of a struggle against addiction and adversity, and the continuing fight to rise above his demons.  I think he's an incredibly smart, sensitive and insightful human being, and while his road has been a long one, his inner strength is something to be admired.  I'm proud to call him a friend, and think his story is most definitely worth your time.

The Living Contradiction:  Robb The Desidonian (Seattle)
RobbTD is one of my all-time favorite journallers, and the second journal I ever got addicted to .  He is a tough person to fully explain, but he just has this commanding presence about him, and he has a most unique outlook on life.  He belongs in another category all his own, but he is a Desidonian, and Desidonians defy categorizing.  He is most certainly marching to his own drummer.

Bryan's Place On The Web:  Bryan Philips (Kansas City, Missouri)
Bryan is a student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His journal has dealt with issues of love, family and independence. I can relate to his story very nicely, and recommend it enthusiastically.  He's also heavily involved with a guy named Matt, and the story of their love is pretty inspiring.

Lobo-Solo:  Chris (Leeds, England)
Chris is an Englishman who has proven to be a friend during times of struggle to me. His story is a fascinating one, and I recommend that you check it out (I would be out of line to spoil it for you).  He's a veteran at life experiences, but he's sweet gentleman with a streak of cheekiness in him, I can tell.

Ambivalent Attitudes:  Andrew (New York City)
Andrew is the quintessential "Englishman in New York", like the song.  His journal was recommended to me by Patrick and it is a fascinating take on what it's like for someone to live in a foreign city and take in the culture shock.  He's a literate chap, and the future looks promising from him---I can't wait to read all about it.

Scotty's World:  Scott Berks (Chicago)
Scott's a breeder guy in Chicago who has one VERY comprehensive journal site. He's employed as a web designer, and his regular writing remains fascinating, with deep archives.  Adding to the fun is his impending nuptials to Dawn, a woman with her own journal.  Go Scotty go!

erasure:  BJ (Ames, Iowa)
BJ is a student at Iowa State University, and he seems to be a very driven person. His enthusiasm about some of the things important to him in life is very engaging.  His life situation is quite compelling to read about, and I like reading what this bright and capable young man has to say.  When he gets into the real world full-time, big things may come from him.

Just Like Heaven:  Scott (Montreal, Canada)
Scott's is an intelligent young gay university student in Montreal, who has a unique perspective on life. I found out about him from Queerscribe's journal and I'm glad, because this guy, in just a few short entries, has my interest. He's a good writer, period, and I like what I've read from him so far.

Mundane Mania:  Chris (Dallas, Texas)
Chris is a twentysomething gay guy in Texas.  He looks like he has a lot of ambition (he manages a couple of web rings, including the Gay Diary Net ring, which I belong to, and the Gay Teen Dudes ring), and a lot to say (a journal that just started in June 2000, and now has a rich and vast archives with over two journal sites).  I find his writing to be a fascinating slice of (his) life, and am looking forward to reading more.

Queer Scribbles:  Queerscribe (Canada)
This one is written by a guy from Canada identifying himself only as QueerScribe.  His site is described thusly: "random thoughts, introspections and rants of a 30something Canadian gay male."  QS has one of the most erotically entertaining journals I've ever read, plus his entries have a great degree of wit and intellect that are quite unlike any I've read online.  He's very enigmatic, but it's highly compelling reading.  He's deep, and he's intensely sexual at times...you have been warned.

Mickymse's Musings:  Mickey (Seattle)
A long time ago, I was reading Mickey's journal on a regular basis, because I felt some kind of connection to him, but such as in life, I drifted away...but now I'm reading his words again, as he travails life, love and work in Seattle.  I wish nothing but the best for this thoughtful man.

Not A Hillbilly:  Donny May (Miami)
Donny is a gentleman who returned to the Miami area in 2000.  His life experiences are things I would never have imagined, but he came through them with his sensitivity, intellect and wit in tact. He has an utterly fascinating sex life, and an interesting relationship these days, not to mention a bit of depth in his writing: from the first entry, you could tell. Check him out.

Deuterium-d3:  Chris (Tennessee)
Chris is a nursing student who is slowly but surely coming into his own as an adult in the Southeast.  I sense intelligence in his writing, and his life is full of interesting events at the moment.  I look forward to reading more of his thoughts...and he looks remarkably like his love, Donny---in my humble opinion.
