WHAT'S NEW?
JUST ADDED TO MY LIST
- YNGWIE MALMSTEEN- BUDAKON HALL 3-16-94 (video) (PRO) (master copy) (video= A++) (audio= A++)- I dare all of you who get this to tell the difference between this and a video you would buy in a store because the quality is that good. Anyways, he's still rocking in the year 1994 and still shredding. It's just really nice to see his fast hands fly on the fretboard for over an hour.
- PINK FLOYD- THE WALL LIVE (video) (PRO) (master copy) (video= A+) (audio= A+)- Recorded live at the Nassau Coliseum, Long Island (2-27-80). This is the only pro shot video of Floyd ever doing the whole Wall set and I've been searching for a good recording of it for years and finally found it. THIS IS THE MASTER COPY (so this means no fuzz, no snow, it's perfect).
- RUSH - GRACE UNDER PRESSURE TOUR (PRO) (VIDEO) (video= A) (audio= A)- Now here's a rare one. The video and audio are both great here! And it's so great to see all of these rare songs from "Grace Under Pressure" performed live. If you like Rush you should check this one out.
- DREAM THEATER- 1999 live (PRO) (video) (vid= A-) (audio= A+)- This was the first concert with Jordan officially back with the band and the last show before "Scenes From a Memory" was released. This was at a festival and it wall full of rain and wind the whole show. Great performance and definately a great show. Songs include "another day", "metropolis pt. 1", and an electric version of "Hollow Years". Show is about an hour long and great quality, just a little snow. Sounds great.
- STEVE VAI- THE ULTRA ZONE TOUR LIVE- (2cds) (A+ soundboard recording)-Alright, here's the very famous radio broadcast Steve Vai did in Holland in the year 2000. This is sourced straight from the radio and sounds better than any other Steve Vai live cds to date. There is a really cool interview with Steve as well as a soundcheck here, really cool. Mike Mangini has an amazing drum solo as well as a great keyboard/guitar solo by Mike keneally. Definately recommend this one. here's the setlist - (disc 1) 1)Interview 2) Sound Check 3) The Ultra Zone 4) Erotic Nightmares 5) Tender Surrender 6) Slamanders in the Sun 7) Jibboom 8) Mike Mangini's Drum Solo 9) Windows to the Soul 10) Aching Hunger (disc 2) 1) The Blood and Tears 2) Fire Garden Suite 3) Mike Keneally's solo 4) Fever Dream 5) Voodoo Acid 6) I Would Love To 7) For the Love of God 8) Liberty 9) The Attitude Song.
- DREAM THEATER - SHOWDOWN AT BIRCH HILL- (6-9-95) (NJ)(2cds) (audience A/A-)) - Here's one hell of a show from the rare 1995 A Change of Seasons Introduction tour. This is among one of the first times they've played this song live with Derek and they do a great job. The quality is great, very full sound. here's the setlist:
Under a Glass Moon, The Mirror, Lie, Lifting Shadows off A Dream, Showdown, Caught In A Web, Surrounded, Keys SOlo, Erotomania, Voices, The Silent Man, For Rena/Lost Without You, Pull Me Under, A Change of Seasons, Waiting For Sleep,Learning To Live
- DREAM THEATER-WEBBED THEATER- (2cds) (8-19-00) (audience(b+)). A complete show from the Phoenix, AZ show at the Web Theater. Everything about this show is wonderful and has a great setlist. - DREAM THEATER- NIGHTTOWN NOSTALGIA- 2CDS-
- The complete fan club show they put on in Rotterdam. Now, this is professional recording and the quality is amazing. I mean, you probably will never find a better quality recording. - DREAM THEATER - KOREA 2000 (video) (pro shot)(A+)- This is the coolest video you can find so far from the Metropolis 2000 tour. It was recorded straight from Korean pay per view and the quality is astonishing! Video and audio is actually better than the Awake tour pay per view(if you can imagine how great this is). THe setlist consists of "Scenes From A Memory ", "Puppies on Acid/ ACOS part 2", "Just let me Breathe/When Images and Words Unite".
- DREAM THEATER - MARY-GO-ROUND 2000 - (8-16-00) (soundboard/webcast (quality (A+/A)).
Heres one hell of a show from San Francisco during the second leg of the US metropolis 2000 tour. This is a pro recording sourced from a live webcast which I recorded on to my MD recorder and then burned to cd, the sound is amazing folks! Since most of you folks know that "A Change of Seasons" was teh final encore of the show but wasn't part of the broadcast, I decided to add in the official demo of "A Change of Seasons" with Kevin moore on keys and James Labrie on vocals with the badass instrumental section in it that was later left out on the official released. I recommend this show to everyone because there are just so many cool things on in, not to mention "Learning to Live" all the way through! here's the setlist:
(Disc 1) 1) Metropolis pt. 1 2)Overature 1928 3)Strange De Ja Vu 4) The Mirror+Lie solo 5)Just Let me Breathe 6) Acid Rain 7)Caught In A New Mellenium
(Disc 2) 1) Another Day 2)Petrucci Solo(amazing!) 3)Home 4) Rudess solo 5)Erotomania 6)Voices 7)The Spirit Carries On 8) Learning To Live 9) A Change Of Seasons (demo)
- DREAM THEATER- TOKYO 2000(2cds) (audience (A-) (5-15-00)). Great show from the Europe/Asian 2000 tour. Much better than the US shows for a few reasons. One being that they added some of the LTE song "state of grace" during the Petrucci solo before "THrough her eyes", another being the new Medley they created. This Medley consists of "The Mirror, Crimson Sunset, Just let me Breathe, Acid Rain(LTE), and Caught in Alices 9 inch tool garden". Don't forget they also play Scenes From A Memory all the way through as well as the intro to "Sanitarium"(metallica), "peruvian skies/Dr. Evil Theme/Erotomania/Paradigm Shift(LTE) and last but not least the final medley of "Pull me Under/Under A Glass Moon/A Fortune in Lies/Only a Matter of Time/Take the Time.
- OVERATURE 2000- (2cds) (audience (A-/A) (2-14-00)). Here's the greatest sounding audience recording of the tour so far! Same setlist as the others including "Dr. Evil Theme, Instrumental Medley,Peruvian SKies". They put on a great show here and actually it's odd to hear but Petrucci messes up a few times. Definately recommend it though.
- FAN CLUB CHRISTMAS CD 1996 - The first of the now famous, Fan Club Christmas CD’s. Dream Theater wanted to reward the members of their fan club, so they started creating these Christmas CD’s to give fans something that they would not normally hear from the band. 1996 was the first time the band sent these out. Since it is band produced, it features perfect stereo soundboard audio, 10 out of 10.The intro features the band talking and sending Christmas wishes to all their fans as well as the John’s (Petrucci & Myung) screwing around on their guitars. The rest of the disc contains unreleased cover songs from the January 1995 Uncovered Show. U2’s song Red Hill Mining Town just sounds amazing…the best cover version of this song I have ever heard. They also cover by Tears by Rush, Metallica’s Damage Inc. with Barney Greenway from Nepalm Death on vocals and the Christmas Traditional - O’ Holy Night. All the Christmas CD’s are a must have for any Dream Theater fan. tracklist-1. Opening Message 2. Red Hill Mining Town 3. Tears 4. Damage Inc. 5. O' Holy Night 6. Closing Message
- DREAM THEATER - The Chill Of Winter (2cds) (audience recording(A-) (11-11-99) - Here's another great 2 cd set from the Europe Pre- Metropolis 2000 tour. This one is from Holland and has great sound quality. As a bonus A live version of "Hell's Kitchen" and "Biaxident" was added to the first disc and "Paradigm Shift" and "New Millenium" was added to fill in the second cd. Check the setlists for the other '99 tour cd's as the songs are the same.
- PINK FLOYD OAKLAND COLISEUM May 9th 1977- (audience(A-). ALright here's a great show from the Animals era. Not only is the sound very good but also contains the last ever live version of "Careful with that Axe Eugene", wow! So here's the setlist-(Disc 1) Sheep, pigs on the Wing(part 1), Dogs, Pigs on the Wing(part 2), Pigs(3 different ones), Shine on you crazy diamond(1-5), Welcome to the Machine. (disc 2)have a Cigar, Wish you were here, Shine On You Crazy Diamond(6-9), Money, Us and Them, Careful With that Axe, Eugene.
