Arizona Winds was formed in August 1974.  The Arizona Winds is an adult concert band that features musicians from around the Valley of the Sun performing concerts from September through May. The band is well known for its high level of performance and is a member of the Association of Concert Bands. They continue to develop and explore various concert band literature, expanding on their long history of fine performances throughout the Southwest as well as their popular audience appealing style attracting music lovers of all ages. The Arizona Winds are invited each year to perform at the Sun Bowl in the retirement community of Sun City, The Chocolate Festival for the City of Glendale, opening for The Phoenix Symphony for the West Valley Fine Arts Council’s annual pops concert and hold the honor of being the 'official' band for the renown community celebration Glendale Glitters presented by the City of Glendale.
