A friend, is what I call, a morning find
They do not come and go as time,
They are our daily bread and wine
And they are, as what I consider, mine.
A friend is a friend forever
A hand they would lend,
A friend will not say never
As the world will not end.
There is a "Star" shining brightly
Up in the dark sky, bathed with pale moonlight,
It makes me wonder fondly
If "someone" is thinking of me tonight.
I know that somewhere out there
There is someone saying a prayer,
That we can be together
In that big somewhere out there.
Out in that big somewhere
Friendship will see us through,
Then we will be together
And all our dreams come true.
When I was out there in the dark
Friends stood by me as my sun,
In the dark I can feel the light
And it warms my heart.
