for You, Magic"

Today I cry for you, Magic!
Your short young life touched so many in a profound
way.
You were happy.
You were Sweet.
You were innocent,
And most of all, you were loved.
Today I cry for you, Magic!
You came into our lives only a short month ago.
But in that much time you won a spot in my heart
forever.
I'm so sorry I could not have saved you!
Some things, I guess, are just not meant to be.
This one is by far, one of the most unjust things
that can happen in life.
Today I cry for you, Magic!
I don*t know why you were taken away so soon, It*s
not fair.
I can only pray that you are safe at the Rainbow
Bridge,
Free of pain and running with the big dogs.
I will say this, you will be greeted by the many that
came before you.
You are the youngest though, and I*m sure you will be
well looked after.
Today I cry for you, Magic!
We all miss you here and the sorrow & pain is
great.
You will be with me always, and I will make sure that
you will be remembered!
You deserved more, your were cheated, I was cheated,
ignorance is deadly!
One thing that you have taught me, Magic, is that I
will not give up on Rescue!
I have learned of one more disease that I did not
know before. It cost dearly!
HOD, Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy a bone disease, may
not have been the actual killer, but the complications were too great for you
to endure.
Today I cry for you, Magic!
I cry for my loss, I cry for my pain, I cry for you!
But, I will not let this go, to happen to another
innocent life!
I will learn, I will teach, I will show everyone that
you have made a profound impact in this world.
So, go now and run with the big dogs, like you loved to do so much here on earth. I know that you do not hurt any more, and that makes me happy. You will be safe at the Bridge, be brave, and be strong, because now you can.
Good-bye, Magic.
