What type of resources are out there that are free and can help me
succeed?
This is the
same question I asked myself when looking for a job
that I could do from my home. The only problem
was that there were
so many web sites that offered home employment opportunities
only
for a small fee. This made me feel a bit unsure
about whether they were
going to take my money and run, or whether I would pay
the amount
asked and in return receive some old out of date list
of companies that only
wanted to pay me a few dollars an hour to do their lame
repetitive tasks,
(that's not to say that I didn't get suckered into one
of them).
Unfortunately, there are too many sites
that try to sell the work at home
dream, but in reality all they are selling is a list
of companies that are either
already out of business or that pay such ridiculously
low rates that its
not at all worth your while. Fortunately their
are ways to get around
these internet scams. Sites like Scamwatch
and
Netcheck provide
information on scams that are out there. One that
I really like is Jerks which
is an easy to follow directory of recent scams that have
popped up. Also, a
site called Hoaxes
& Scams has some pretty neat info on what to watch for
in searching for home based work. If by chance
you do get ripped off, take a
look at the Internet Fraud
Center, or the Govt.
Online Fraud, where
you can report sites that are promoting scams. Chances
are you might
get your money back.
Well enough of the chit chat, there are a few other types
of organizations
out there that do have some pretty cool resources for
Home employment
enthusiasts like ourselves. One of those
is a site called the Small Business
Association that
helps out small companies that are started at home.
Another one provides step by step instructions on how
to start up a home
based mail order business and the best part about it
is its free. It's
located at Homebiz.
