Daw Technologies, Inc. is a supplier of ultra-clean manufacturing environments, or cleanrooms, to the semiconductor industry. The Company designs engineers, manufactures, and installs and services all principal component systems for advanced cleanrooms.

On Jan. 25, Intel (INTC:Nasdaq - news - boards) announced that it was spending $2 billion to construct a new semiconductor manufacturing plant in Arizona, which touched off interest in companies that support and service cleanrooms. Two weeks prior to that, Anadigics (ANAD:Nasdaq - news - boards), a much smaller circuit maker, announced that it would be expanding its manufacturing plant.

Companies like Daw, which are engaged in the support of semiconductor manufacturing, have received a great deal of investor attention in the month since Intel's announcement.

SALT LAKE CITY, March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Daw Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: DAWK - news) today announced today that its new EnviroZone AES (air entrance system), that has been under development for approximately 14 months, has been approved by one of the largest retailers in the world for use on its new stores. The Company expects to receive orders and deliver its product in this calendar year.

``The prototype unit, which was installed in the customers test store, has been in operation for several months. The system has operated extremely well and has demonstrated that our product is reliable and functional. This retailer is expanding at a very aggressive pace and have indicated that they will require over 500 Air Entrance Systems in calendar year 2001,'' said Ronald W. Daw, president of Daw Technologies, Inc.

Mr. Daw continued, ``Our air entrance system was developed by applying our advanced cleanroom air movement and filtration technology resulting in a technically superior air entrance system. This retailer has recognized the quality of our system and thus approved Daw Technologies as one of its air entrance suppliers. We are extremely optimistic about the market potential for our EnviroZone AES (air entrance system) and believe it has broad application in other retail establishments throughout the world.''

The company has also received an order for its air entrance system from another retailer and expects its customer base to expand as its system becomes more widely recognized.

Air Entrances are used on large, high volume retail stores in lieu of conventional swinging and sliding doors to help the store maintain comfort in the front of the store, reduce liability and increase and optimize the traffic flow in and out of the store.
