AFRICAGIRL

My Africa! My Home!

Is my home, my happiness, my roots,
fading into a longing memory?
a dream needing so much to awaken
me back into being....

The Acacia Trees in their wide
spread out beauty reach out to
capture me back!
Sunsets an array of color so rich and vibrant
send rays out to beckon me...
Rolling hills, looming,
consuming mountains calling...

Zebra's with their black brilliant stripes
each one unique in a pattern all their own
form a pathway to lead me back home.
Elephants with their lazy slow saunter at sunrise
send out a trumpet call.
Giraffes run gracefully,
long necks follow in slow motion,
Big eyes from beneath long lashes
cast their sideway questioning glance.
Buffalo's angry stares,
demand to know why my place is now empty,
...in Africa!

My African Massai brother I hear your cry
from deep within the thirsty desert!
How well I feel your spirit,
Deep inside my soul.
To be locked up would destroy you,
Death would take over.
You need that open sky,
The sun of life and vibrant bright!
The land that cries out FREEDOM.

Will I die in this foreign land,
As the cold closes in on me?
I stand on tip toe and peer out
Look far beyond...
to see if I can still get a glimpse,
of my home...my Africa!

SOUTH AFRICA

Stretching from the Atlantic to the Indian coast, the quality of experience is determined by South Africa's scenic beauty.

Inexhaustible mountain ranges shape character to the land and benefit all outdoor activities. Table Mountain provides the majestic backdrop for Cape Town whilst the Drakensberg Mountain range reaches snow-capped heights in the Eastern part of the country.

A mile climate for a large part of the country allows for the freedom to travel throughout the year. Each season highlights a natural attraction only visible for a few weeks. In winter migrating whales roam the southern Indian Ocean, in spring, vibrant colours are arranged in Namaqualand, otherwise known as the garden of the gods. In summer the coastline shimmers with golden beaches and in autumn, the mountains light up in purple rays.

South Africa is home to luxurious private game reserves in the Sabie Sands and Timbavati which are adjacent to the famous Kruger National park. Outstanding game-viewing is comfortably experienced, including rare sights such as the world's only white lions! Both the black and white rhino can be sighted in Kwazulu Natal, which is also a divers province offering cultural experiences of the traditional African tribes.

The Garden Route is well known for its spectacular beauty experienced by exploring the coastline which includes beautiful forests, plentiful mountain passes and deep blue waters.

In the surrounds of Cape Town, fertile vine valleys produce internationally recognized wines, whilst the farms are traditionally accompanied by Cape Dutch style buildings.

South African hospitality has always maintained its warmth and welcoming emphasis as a destination and guarantees a vacation beyond expectations.
