The Roswell television series is based on the Roswell High book series. It began its run on October 6th, and currently airs at 9 (8 Central) PM on the WB.

Due to campaining by Thousands of loyal Roswell fans, Roswell wasn't cancelled, there will be a season two.
Although the television show is a lot different than the books. It is just as good in its own ways. I think that eventually maybe they will go into some things in the books (the collective conciosness maybe?). An outsider review can be found here.
