Music, Fun, and Romance!
- One of the best things to come out of my toastmistress gig at ConChord last year was a rag-tag band of musical miscreants called "The Divas of Chaotica." This ad hoc group includes me, Jeff Bohnhoff (our Devo), Maya Bohnhoff, Nancy Louise Freeman, and Dr. Jane Robinson committing reckless acts of harmony in a public setting. We had so much fun at ConChord that we are going to be doing a repeat performance at Consonance this March. Consonance, the SF Bay Area Filk Con, will be held in San Jose, March 2-4, 2001. Stop by and have a listen.
- Joining me at Consonance will be a very special person. In October, I met a remarkable young lady named Beth with whom I've become very close. This will be her first trip to California as well as her first convention. I'm really looking forward to spending time with her, and introducing her to the filk community at large. (If she still speaks to me after that, it's love!)
BookCrazy Radio Hits the Big Time!
- The radio show has really taken off. We expanded from a half hour to a full hour only a month after starting, and our author interviews have included such notables as mystery writer Bill Fitzhugh (Organ Donors, Pest Control) and NY Times author Lisa Jackson.
- On Wednesday, November 1, 2000, Janie Magruder from the Arizona Republic newspaper will attend our weekly production meeting and interview us for the paper! The article is scheduled to appear in the November 22nd issue of the paper. Woo-hoo! Now, if we can only figure out a way to get Jana Bammersbach on the show!!!
