~The Meaning Of Life~
(Written in 1997)

This little subject has been in the heads of humanity for as long as our intelligence has made us different from other monkeys. It is a popular belief that this is one of the questios which are without answer. People smile and say, "well, I guess we'll never find out". The reason to why "the meaning of life" hasn't been discovered is probably because people usually complicate things beyond reason, beyond what's needed.

The first mistake made by most people is that they look at the subject from a completelly false perspective. Morals, religion etcetera has tought them that this "meaning" is something which actually exists. The truth is that it doesn't if one looks at it all from an objective perspective. Life is not put in the universe for any reason, science has taught us this. So the moral and religious perspectives must be abolished before we can make any attempt to find what we are searching for.

Secondly, one must face the fact of individuality. No two beings are completely alike, physical and psychological differences make our lives, thoughts and feelings very different. Therefor there will never be any chance of establishing any categories or such, outlining goals and meaning with life. Every human being differs in their personal meaning.

Thirdly, one must also understand that this is not a question of wrong and right from an objective point of view. The objective point of view tells us quite simply that there is meaning in life, but this fact is never true to any of us, since we all have created various meanings, thoughts and feelings within ourself. These thoughts are only correct to us, and has no relevance to any other people. Some feels that their meaning is to have kids and a wife, some wants to take over the world, some people can't die content unless the feel that they have made a great difference to mankind. From an objective point of view they are all wrong, from a subjective, individual, point of view, they're all correct.

Based on this we are actually well equiped to state something quite universal about the meaning of life.
1: Scientificly, there is no meaning what-so-ever. Every other notion is an insult of the truth.
2: Every human being must look to him/herself, and "make up" his/her own goals and points of life. None of these are wrong, or correct, since they are self-righteous to the every single different individual. What must be remembered is that none of these meanings aply for anyone else than the individual possessing them.

Two "crimes" are committed by most humans every day which passes. Firstly, people try to enforce their values upon others, which is simply discusting. And has quite terrible results. For this enforcing of personal views, is in reality a way of trying to make something subjective into an objective truth. It numbs the minds of the people affected. Religions and morals are what we call these subjective meanings which has been made into something which they can never be. War and stupidity are the to two foremost results.

Secondly, the only "wrong" option a human can choose is to not follow his/her own thoughts. Most human beings does not follow their own thoghts, as they are taught to follow someone elses dieties and ethics. The problem is not that these ethics are most often completely fucked up, the problem is that the intellect of these people is degraded, as they never learn to come to their own conclusions. War and stupidity (and virtual slavery) are the two foremost results.

Humanity has in all times lived in soceities which enforce values upon "it's" people. Humanity has never understood the individuality of people, only in later times has this thought even become possible to speak of in public, and it is still but a few of "us" who understands it. Most people still neglect their own mental capacity in the favour of values which are not theirs, values with no objective value what-so-ever, which are handled as if they were universal. We all, no-matter where we reside, live in slavery. Laws, morals etcetera are infact nothing but subjective thoughts by individauls which has suddenly been turned into something which we all must abide to.

It is wrong to kill other people, if you do it you will get punished. What is wrong with this picture? What's wrong is that there ain't anything wrong with killing somebody. It's up to each of us to decide for ourselves. Most of us will come to the conclusion that we better not kill anybody, as we are aware of the fact that someone will probably get pissed of and kill us. The problem with turning a notion like this one into a universal moral, is that we loose ou freedom of choice, and we are likely to loose our own mental processes regarding the subject. Most people tend to say it's wrong to kill because it's "wrong", or because it's a sin, or because "we have no right". It's true that killing isn't "right", it's no act of purity, and no human has any rights what-so-ever to anything. Nature isn't based on who's got rights to what. The wolf doesn't have any right to kill the deer, and the deer does not have any rights to get away in the chase. No-one has the right to either live or die, kill or let live, there is no wrong and right. And the only fault we can make in life is to think anything else. Because then we will become a plague for other individuals.

Well, to sum it up, there is no meaning of life, and this is something which everyone would gain from facing. Every human being will act in such a way that he/she will bring pleasure and happiness to him/herself in life, and there is not much more to do.
