My pet pig Pete has a cute little curly tail. He has a long snout and large tusks. He is bright pink from his sniffing nose to his corkscrew tail. He loves to jump and play with his friend Spot, the sheep dog puppy.
Pete and Spot play all day. They run and run as fast as they can. As the day gets hotter Pete and Spot run over to the porch to rest. As the sun goes down Pete goes into the barn to sleep. Sometimes I follow him.
When I watch him sleep I sometimes forget that he is not human. As he slumbers, I lay and watch him. He always smiles as he sleeps. As my eyes get heavy I think back to our long day.
I think of how cute he looks. Then I think back to the way that Pete and Spot played and ran. Then I think about the way that they looked lying on the porch together. Then slowly I drifted off to sleep.
