unreciprocal love
we met
we danced
we joined
we loved
i gave my love to you
you gave your love to me
over a period of time,
somehow something changed
you took your love away from me
my love was unreciprocal,
so without your love, mine is still there
i did not have to be loved by you
in order to give you my love
mine is a love for all time
and will always be there for you
in time, i may learn to love again,
but i can never learn to not love you
the beauty of unreciprocal love
is that it is everlasting
