from the light grey sidewalk
from the light grey sidewalk
surrounded by the dark asphalt
i walk over to my precariously perched chair
dark green, and beneath of canopy of red wood
gazing up, i look around
then my gaze turns upward to the sky
the purest of light blues
spotted by the billowy clouds
the air is fresh and pure
a light breeze blows across my face
the beauty and calm infuses my soul
and a smile creeps softly across my lips
as time passes, the sun fades from view
but not before casting a rainbow of colors
purple, pink, orange and yellow
the sky is awash with a beautiful sunset
as the darkness comes into play stronger
the moon casts its glow upon the heavens
as thousands of twinkling stars burst forth
and Orion takes a sip from the dippers ladle
this is where i live, and it is beautiful.....
