to my comp "teach"
the task of composition
had me in its throes
the art of writing it right
the do's and don'ts and woes
in the very beginning
seemed nothing I did was right
always having a so-so answer
only added to my plight
but I am not a quitter
I saw it through to the end
I finally made a breakthrough
making the thoughts and words my friend
the syntax of the sentence
using subject and modifying verb
I learned to make it come out right
and now I am quite superb
words of advice to those of you
having composition within your reach
if you succeed as a stronger writer
give thanks to the composition "teach"
to my teach, Pam Sullivan, I thank you! I learned a lot!!!
