London

We arrived in London one chilly -4 degree morning in December and promptly wanted to go to sleep - but we didn't! hurrah! So instead we wandered around London for a few days and took lots of photos!

First stop, Big Ben - where we all met up as Esther had come earlier. Such an odd tower - all stone and gold bits, and the fences around it were very menacing - somehow I don't think the parliamentarians in London like guests...
Sarah in the red beanie, Rel in the rainbow hat!

Above: one of our rooms at the Elysee Hotel in London, they were great! So very small! You could climb out the window behind Rel and Krista there onto this tiny balcony (which wasn't so much a balcony as a roof) and look over all the houses with their cute chimneys !!

Right: The Ballerinas! Outside Buckingham Palace (which in the other direction is very ugly, but very pretty looking away from it as you can see!) We have Krista, Esther and Rel.

Ahh, the beautiful Westminster Abbey - plus a very Rellish Rel! -->

The grass is frozen! Look! Rel, Esther and Krista.

I think Krista is trying to impale herself on the fence - she is at the Tower of London after all and what better to do than damage to yourself!

Ahh...such a beautiful sunset on such beautiful girlies (Sarah and Esther) in front of the deadly and cruel Tower of London...aaarrrgghh!!! (that was supposed to sound like a scream of pain but being that it is typed it may not turn out that way!)

-----------------------------------------------------> The London Bobby. From our first moments in London, it was Rel's impassioned dream to catch a Bobby in order to have her photo taken with him, so when (as these things always do) the opportunity presented itself, we ran over to the poor unsuspecting Bobbies and through the giggling and his very British Bobby accent we convinced him to pose with us! So here we are, Rel, the Bobby, Sarah and Krista.

Right: No, Esther didn't drink all this beer! She didn't drink one or two of them! (hehehe - evil and malicious laugh!!!). No, we decided to get a selection of British and foreign beers - and let me assure you, John Smith's Bitter is truly disgusting!

Above: Trafalgar Square, New Years Day...many pigeons. Krista is probably looking afraid of the pigeons in this shot, and Esther is looking cheery - perhaps it's a conspiracy Krista!

Right: the ever impressive Underground! Esther and Krista

Above: The Rosetta Stone and Sarah!
