All three teams have decent chemistry on the surface, the
true test will be how well the players mesh under the intense
pressure of this deadly wiffleball tourney. Odds are, if Hall
and Nash are going to upset the heavily favored DC team, they
will have to be the team that keeps it together when the chips
are down.
Offense
This team has serious potential to be both very good or
very bad at the plate. Nash has been rumored to have serious
long ball power. While Hall, aside from his notorious weakness
for curveballs, is a solid singles hitter, with some pop. If Hall
finds the pitchers to his liking, and Nash gets a hot bat, then
this team will really put some runs on the board.
Defense
Nash has been touted as the best curveball pitcher since Tewksberry,
and he's going to have to put forth quite a performance to live
up to the expections the media has placed on him. Behind him, Hall
is a question mark in the outfield. Having a propensity for
misjudging fly balls, if his softball antics carry over into
wiffleball, Nash may need to record a lot of strikeouts to
keep the game close.

Odds to win the championship: 5-1
They may be heavy early favorites to win the inaugural
wiffleball tourney, but heavy is the head that wears
the crown. Come game time, every team will be gunning
for these two, and they know it. The question is:
Are they all hype?
Offense
The DC strength here cannot be denied. Possessing the only
true lefty bat in the tourney, wielded by Lonestar, and the
power ball potential of the Puff Daddy, the DC offense
may be so good that it's pitching will be irrelevant.
Questions do exist though ... exactly how well does this
tandem's softball/baseball skill translate to the breaking
wiffleball style of play ... what kind of eye will these
batters have on the new styles of pitching they'll be facing?
All these questions and more will be answered when the first
pitch is finally thrown ...
Defense
Don't Believe the Hype. That's what PE said, and if it's going
to hold true to form here, this is where the DC downfall will
begin. Exactly who will be the starting pitcher, and what his
style will be is still up in the air. Needless to say, whoever
is pitching will have the best fielder in the tourney backing him
up. Simply put: if the DC pitching is in full form, start
making the rings, because the championship is theirs.

Odds to win the Championship: 1-1
This team is an interesting fusion of talent that could easily
dominate the tourney ... of course they could just as easily
end up being the window dressing on a Conspiracy v. Hall & Nash
showdown. Pairing the oldest and youngest players in the tourney
this team is a paradox in action.
Offense
The Totalitarians may have a great deal of problems scoring runs.
Although the Gimp is a definite power threat in softball, there
is a lot of question about whether his opposite field swing
will have the same pop away from the friendly confines of Harbin
Not-So-Lighted. As for his teammate, Guru, he is a consistent
singles hitter, but lacks the power to carry his teams offense
single-handedly.
Defense
As weak as the Totalitarian bats maybe, their defense should be
inversely strong. Guru is a potentially dominating pitcher,
with a nice fastball, and slider, along with a developing curveball.
Although he a tendency to be wild, if he can consistently find the
plate, or get opposing hitters swinging, he could be the Dominator
of this tourney. The Gimp is a capable fielder, who after a long
softball stint at catcher, will have to prove his mobility in the
outfield.
