an extremely intense movie, wonderfully acted out and very educational, but entirely too gruesome for me. i felt as i watched the whole movie through one eye that was only partially open (the other was hidden behind my pillow - advantage of watching this at home!) but besides all of the violence, i found only one other problem - was it really necessary for William to sleep with the Princess? a great story that appeals to all types of people. romance, action, politics, humor (and mel gibson!) make a movie of heroic proportions. |

Favorite Part: in the beginning when they are at Williams' fathers' funeral and the little girl returns to give him the flower - the look that they exchanged was so intense for such little kids, but it helps to understand their immediate connection years later. |

Favorite line: in the end when they are torchering william and everyone gets quiet because they are expecting him to say mercy and he yells out "FREEDOM!" |
