Most of the graduate students in the Department of Mathematics, home to the Financial Mathematics program, have support from fellowships or teaching or research assistantships.

If you are interested in this new degree program, you need to identify this both on the admissions material sent to the department and by e-mailing smith@math.fsu.edu.

Minimum Requirements for Fellowships are a score of 1300 on the combined verbal and quantitative portions of the GRE and a GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale on all college work attempted

Minimum Requirements for Assistantships are a score of 1100 on the combined

verbal and quantitative portions of the GRE (700 quantitative score) and a GPA

of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale on all college work attempted.

By Florida law, non-native English speakers must pass the TOEFL before admission to the University.
