The sXe Me.

Hey there silly, I'm Straight Edge!

What is Straight Edge (sXe)?  To put it my way, it's like this:  Straight Edge is a lifstyle where you abstain from some of the harmful things in life such as drugs.  A lot of people have told me, "You don't look Straight Edge!" though.  See, that's just it!  I don't go to many hardcore shows and wear all those crazy, baggy clothes.   I think people are way to caught up in the rules. Everyone thinks you have to be this, this, and this to be a true Straight Edger.  Even kids that aren't sXe have something to say about the way I live, pretending they know all this stuff about sXe. I know some really cool sXe kids, and most of them know that sXe is all for yourself.   It's nothing to say you are just to cool or whatever if you are sXe.  Or 'cause it's "punk" or something silly like that.  Man 'cause i personally think drugs suck, but there are tons of people who still use them and beg to differ. But it is totally their choice! I'm Straight Edge because I want to be.... for myself.

And now, this is what Straight Edge is for me. . . .

I'm SILLY sXe.   I don't drink alcohol.  I don't take drugs.  I don't smoke cigarettes, chew tabacco or anything that contains nicotine.  I don't drink caffeine (the last time I had it was Father's Day '96). Yep, I do eat meat.  Straight Edge has nothing to do with being vegetarian.  Um.... let's see, I don't have sex and am still a virgin.  And I've made the decision that I'm not going to have sex 'till I'm married.   To me, being sXe is not being addicted to things.  To have control of your own fricking life is the true meaning!  I'm sure tons of folks out there could disagree and go off on their own opinion, and I'm asking them to do so. Just e-mail me.  I really would love to hear what anyone has to say.  I respect everyone for what they do and believe.  I don't care if you sleep with 12 people a day and do every type of drug there is.  As long as you don't try to tell me how it's cool or how I should do it too.... then I'm not going to tell you to be abstinate and sober.
