Return of prisoners whose sentences have been remitted either in whole or in part by His Exellency the Governor from January 1860 to 1862;

Extracted from the Appendices to the Journals of the House of Representatives. Data was entered to thejournals and signed by Micaiah Reed, Warden:

Patrick Cullen with his death 13-5-1862 Supreme Life Senenced to 10 years penal servitude 1-9-1856; also sentenced to 12 calendar months from expiration of previous sentence 7-6-1858; and sentenced to penal servitude for life on 14-6-1859.
William Darley 24-7-1867 13-5-1862 Supreme 9.5 yrs Reccomended for pardon by WW TAylor & W Lyon Esqrs. Visiting Justices of the Wellington Gaol. Sentenced to 2 years imprisonment 25-1-1858; again sentenced to 6 months imprisonment 1-3-1859 and agan sentenced to 6 year penal servitude 14-6-1859
Benjamin Stringer 24-7-1867 13-5-1862 Supreme 9.5 yrs Reccomended for pardon by WW TAylor & W Lyon Esqrs. Visiting Justices of the Wellington Gaol. Sentenced to 2 years imprisonment 25-1-1858; again sentenced to 6 months imprisonment 1-3-1859 and agan sentenced to 6 year penal servitude 14-6-1859
James Kelly 21-6-1867 13-5-1862 Supreme 9.3yrs First sentenced to 15 months imprisonment with hard labour. Again sentenced to 2 years imprisonment with hard labour. and again sentenced June 1859 to 6 years penal servitude

James Gaffney with his death 8 May 1862 Supreme Life Commuted to 4 years imprisonment with hard labour 17-2-1858; again sentenced to penal servitude for life 14-6-1859 - this sentence commuted to 7 years penal servitude on and from 8 May 1862.
