Ralph & Laura, We Announce ......

On December 22, 1999 we were married by Judge Paty Nolan in Globe, Arizona, near our beloved Apache Trail in a small but meaningful ceremony. This is our wedding page, we invite you to celebrate with us and share our joy. Please pause for a moment at the bottom of this page and sign this, our very special guestbook.

This is the Apache Wedding Prayer, read by Judge Nolan at our wedding ceremony. We both found it very moving and extremely meaningful.

The Apache Wedding Prayer

Now for you there is no rain, for one is shelter to the other. Now for you there is no darkness, for one is counsel to the other. Now for you there is no pain, for one is comfort to the other. Now for you there is no night, for one is light to the other. Now for you there is no cold, for one is warmth to the other. Now for you the snow has ended always, your fears, your wants, your needs at rest. It is that way today, tomorrow, forever. Now it is good and there is always a shelter. And now there is always warmth. And now there is always comfort. And there is no loneliness. Now, forever...forever you are one.

Grains Of Sand The Proposal

We stood upon the hilltop gazing at the desert vista below, the place of our beginnings. You seemed quiet, the look in your eyes spoke of things on your mind. You took me by the shoulders turning me toward you to see the truth written in your face. Although we knew from the onset that this moment would come, we didn't know how or when the fates would allow. You spoke the words which would seal our future. "Laura, I love you, will you be my wife?" Through my tears of joy I answered, "Ralph, I love you, yes I will, now and forever." We embraced with familiar arms venturing now into unfamiliar territory. We turned arm in arm, pausing to scoop up the grains of sand upon which we had stood at that moment when time stood still for us, a precious memento for our future. Smiling in our hearts we proceeded forth into our lives.

I Give You Our Vows To Each Other

I give you my heart and hand, I give you myself. I pledge to you my love, my life, my entire being I enter our marriage not only with hope but with eternal gratitude for the unconditional love and solemn commitment you have shown me. I thank you for allowing my trust and love for you to flourish unbridled. The strength of our understanding has lead us to our destiny. We have each other to share the joy, the pain, the struggles and the successes life has in store for us. I embrace your experiences as my own and will share your burdens with every opportunity I am able. In you I find someone I choose to put before myself, For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, the greatest gift has been given to me. You give me the ability to love and care for someone unconditionally, you complete me. By example you show me the person I strive to be. You are the one whom I admire and the one who inspires me. The foundation of our commitment lies in understanding. You unveil your soul and share with me your secrets, your dreams, your fantasies and your fears. You have found your safe haven nurtured by my caring heart. I surrender to you as you tenderly lead me to your soul. You ignite and sate my passions with your gentle ministrations From this day forward, the center of your being is experienced by me. The rings we've exchanged are symbolic in their golden circle, of the never-ending love we share. We are joined as one for all eternity and beyond. We rejoice and go forth into the future.

Our vows have been said, the time finally has come What was once apart is joined now as one From the sunrise to the sunset and throughout our life You are my husband, and I am your wife Love sees us through the clear and the storm As together we're one, our destiny since born Facing tomorrow while remembering the past Our union is blessed, we're married at last

The Time For Together

As we face one another with trust in our eyes Side by side we shall journey for the rest of our lives Through our love and our caring we've seen it mature The feelings we share for a lifetime will endure The path toward together wasn't easy to take But walk it we have, trying not to mistake Caring and laughter have carried us through The journey we took began here as two Our roads have converged and merged into one The time for together has finally come!
