HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS IS THE PRODUCT OF THE BRAIN, AND THE HUMAN BRAIN IS THE HIGHEST PRODUCT OF CONSCIOUSNESS IN THE PHENOMENAL WORLD. THE BRAIN HAS TWO PARTS: THE LOWER AND THE UPPER BRAIN. THE LOWER BRAIN CONSISTS OF THE PRIMITIVE REPTILIAN BRAIN AND THE R-COMPLEX. THE UPPER BRAIN HAS ALSO TWO PARTS: THE RIGHT AND THE LEFT HEMISPHERES. HERE IN THIS PAIR OF COMPLEMENTARY OPPOSITES LIES THE CAUSE OF ALL DICHOTOMY IN MAN. THE RIGHT HEMISPHERE IS MAINLY RESPONSIBLE FOR PATTERN RECOGNITION, INTUITION, SENSITIVITY, AND CREATIVE INSIGHTS. IT IS THE FEMININE SIDE. THE LEFT HEMISPHERE GOVERNS RATIONAL, ANALYTICAL, CRITICAL THINKING. IT IS THE MASCULINE SIDE. THESE TWO OPPOSITE FORCES DO NOT WORK IN COORDINATION EXCEPT WHEN THINKING IS COMBINED WITH A MOTOR RESPONSE.

Lacking in form, consciousness cannot therefore be divided or multiplied. Thus all living things must share in the ONE CONSCIOUSNESS. At the highest level of initiation, the initiate attains to the state of consciousness in which it is clear that he/she is neither the body, the emotional vehicle, nor the mind, but a center of consciousness that perceives these and wills changes in them. It perceives, yet cannot be perceived itself. Therefore the consciousness in you as you, in me as I, in the dog, petunia, fly, is one and the same manifestation. We can liken this phenomena to a multitude of icebergs, though different in shape, and seperated from each other are made of the same one body of water with which they maintain their contact.
