With movies like Empire of the Sun, Little Women, Swing Kids, and Velvet Goldmine on his resume, Christian Bale is among the very finest of contemporary actors. Yet he remains virtually unknown when one considers the immense fame of the likes of Leonardo diCaprio and Chris O'Donnell. Which seems to be ok with Christian. It's part of his charm.
