Back to Spirit of Wonder
(Jim is the young man in the center)
Jim Floyd is a young man in his early twenties. He is the lab assistant of the crazed Dr. Breckonridge, although it often seems to be Jim who carries out most of the plans and does a fair amount of the inventing. Jim's father was also an inventor, Dr. Jan Floyd, who sadly was blown up when one of his inventions went wrong. Jim's mother is also dead, and I think that this causes him some sorrow. Jim is very much in love with the feisty Miss China, although he has difficulty in expressing it. He tries - he does give her a wish and the moon - but then he goes to visit Lily at the flower shop and all of his hard work is undone. He never can seem to get it right. But perhaps that is one of the things that makes him endearing.
