Dyggur--Ya Gotta See the Baa-bee

Dyggur is an 8 month old chestnut Icelandic Horse. In this photo, he is "playing" with Epona, a 10 year old mare.

The first photo shows Dyggur backing up on line with the wiggle of the fingers. The next photos are of Dyggur backing up at liberty; the first while I stand behind him and give him the cue, and the next as he follows me thru the area--we stop and then move right into a back up.

These photos show the sequence of Dyggur learning to step on the small bridge. First, I ask him to come forward, he stops to smell the bridge, and decides it's something he should jump over. On the second try, he steps up onto it. This has been bridged with clicker training.

I should mention that this was the first time Dyggur was taken to a different area, away from and not in sight of his dam and pasture buddies.
