This morning ( oct.20 ) , I received an email about Dominique Moceanu filing a lawsuit, asking the judge to declare her a legal adult so that her parents could not control her or her money any longer. Moceanu says that they have taken the money she has earned as a gymnast and gambled it away on junk investments while abusing her emotionally, and sometimes physically, abusing and threatening her if she did not perform well and bring in more money for them. Moceanu ran away from her parents last Sunday, and has been staying with friends for the past few days. The judge has signed a temporary restraining order Monday, saying her parents must keep away from Dominique until the hearing on November 11th is held.
