My father, just as with my mother, was a formative influence to me. He had never gone to college, yet had a great capability for fixing things. He was an incredible mechanic and drove over 2 million miles without ever getting in an accident. He currently is retired, is strong as an ox, and is in good health.

I got many of my abilities from Dad. His unerring ability to solve any problem was uncanny. I learned that all things could be fixed and all things can be learned by setting one's will against the problem. He was never one to sit and wait for others to do things for him.

Behind his stern countenance hides a soft and gentle spirit and I'm greatly appreciative of the love, encouragement and support he has always shown me.
