A GOOD INTRO TO THE URANTIA BOOK

NEW-Urantia book studies
On Mortality Problem Solving

"Spiritual living mightily increases true self-respect. But self-respect is not self-admiration. Self-respect is allways co-ordinate with the love and service of one's fellows. It is not possible to respect yourself more than you love your neighbor; the one is the measure of the capacity for the other."   Ubook 1740:2

ok, so I've decided to make an attempt to share a bit more about myself, I figured I'd start with what I think is most important.

For me that would be, knowing my inner self.
Mine & our spiritual sides. Hence the origin of my nicname DOT abbr. for Disciple of Truth. Here's a link to the icon that originally motivated my adoption of such a simple name.

The story of a single persons incredible effort to encourage peace, a little ole lady that started a 'pilgrimage' to wherever she could walk "I shall remain a wanderer until mankind has learned the ways of peace..." She walked more than 25,000 miles, carrying in her blue tunic her only possessions. She crossed America for nearly three decades, bearing the simplest of messages: This is the way of peace-overcome evil with good, and falsehood with truth, and hatred with love. Peace Pilgrim talked about peace among nations, between people, and the most important Inner Peace. Penniless, walking with no organizational backing, Peace Pilgrim touched the lives and hearts of countless thousands of Americans. Some were charmed by her simple but cheerful presence; many others were profoundly inspired by her message and her remarkable lifestyle.

Me Vagabonding around, in SoCal

So here I was, near an onramp on Highway 10 in So. Cal. Literally out in the middle of the Mojave desert, When an interesting character began walking down the offramp adjacent to me, he had a big sun hat & sandals, caucasion, looked like a seasoned traveler himself, We exchanged some quick small talk, as he was passing on to the ramp, I was waiting on. Where he took just enought time to dose me with some life changing information. Gave me a pamphlet about 'Peace Pilgrim', mentioned that he was heading for something called a
'Rainbow Gathering' which sounded very interesting, & Shared some very effective hitchhiking tips, that began getting me places allmost immediately.

Anyways, I continued on my journey, to get out of that desert to another one, spent a little time with some crazy veteran gold miner, named 'Jimmy Outback'.. before finally arriving at my intended destination, 40 acres+ of mostly virgin woodland, in Northern Arizona.
So it was actually a few years before I ever went to my first Rainbow Gathering, yet that initial meeting, with that traveler on the Hi-way onramp left it's definate impression on me.
And eventually it happened, In the nearest local community, to my backwoods retreat, Ashfork, Az. I ran acrossed some stranded hippies on their way to a gathering, of which I knew nothing about yet was happening just about 50 min's away from where I lived,.. so It was on. They shared with us some pretty clear directions, So after reconoitering some brothers that were around at the time, we were up and on our way... WooHoo... to ours & so many others home away from home.

My first gathering in 93'was a very special and unusual one, turns out that there was about three different types of gatherings intended for different locations, that somehow ended up all in the same place. 'Drums around the World, Rainbow, & a Native American Tribal peace gathering. Wow what a trip that was, for a born gypsy man to learn that he was'nt alone in this world, that there were many others, who's home was under the sky, rather than under some temporary roof topped house. There I first experienced the vibes of Didge. I was instantly hooked. From there I began a journey of exploration,.. to learn & know the what & how of the unique Didge sound. After learning,.. that the majority of the unusual didge sounds were all attributed to the talents of the player at using his, tonal systems from mouth to diaphragm, & spirit, using a simple hollow tube. Then it was on for me, to create such an instrument of this type, must be a piece of cake, I thought.

So, soon as I got back home to my cabin, near Ashfork Az... I began my first attempt at making a didgeridoo... using agave wood. Which is shaped just right, to make a good didge, yet of a very light weight, airy, balsa wood like substance,.... not at all conducive to good resonance. So, I must say, my first attempt using Agave & wood-glue was a complete failure. I had all the drive & desire, just lacking the proper equipment. I keep up at this project for about two weeks, before, a neighbor I had, out there in them woods, that I visited with occasionally,.. had a plastic tube didge rendition. It was my first time, to try such a piece, yet somehow,... with the very first breath of life,.. it spake. And beautifully so, I was very encouraged, & enlightened by this experierce, thanks to my neighbor, out there in the back woods of northern Arizona. It was actually my first vibe, using that borrowed plastic tube. And oh what a great feeling it conjured in me. From that day on I honestly dont think, I've ever been far from any potential, didgey like device, & often surrounded with a selection.
Must say, it's provided the most intense natural high's I've ever experienced. A beauty of it, is when I get high with it, anyone within my perception range, of the frequencies given, enjoy an unusual high, themselves.
From these times on, I've been constantly intrigued by the potential effect, of such a spectrum of frequency controls & effects.
Which in turn has led me to experiment with every tonal tube, I could get my hands on,.. Ive, experimented with various types of materials,.. from various grades of plastic, to numerous varieties of wood.
