Angelicum School
Batch '84  Homepage

Let's see...how long has it been? 15 long years. A lot has happened to all of us since we left the hallowed halls (hallowed halls daw,o!) of An-ge. Syempre some got married, had kids, had kids but didn't get married, some aren't married yet, don't have kids... (I could go on with this train of thought you know). Actually, meron pa yatang nagpa-sex change!!!

Anyway, a lot has also happened to our beloved Angelicum as well. Angelicum College na siya. Who would've thought.  As with all of us, AS has gone through good and bad times, as I'm sure some other batches can attest to. But now it seems that with Fr. Castillo and Fr. Alarcon back at the helm, Angelicum is now in good hands.

We've spent our formative years in An-ge. It's part of who and what we are. And actually, it's probably the reason why you're browsing through this web page.Wow. Serious. Anyway, enough editorializing.

'Eto na nga.

Let's look back and reminisce on how we looked (nge!) and remember how we felt during the days na bagets pa tayo. So mga chong, pop in your favorite '80s CD in that 100x cd-rom drive, turn up your surround speakers and bring out the following: wayfarers, sperry top-siders (preferably multicolored, with electrical tape), argyle socks, wristbands with studs (ala erap pero punk), hair pins for your pants (syempre kailangan stretch na baston), gel (lots of it), a colored shirt and your AS uniform (don't forget to fold the sleeves, pare), high school ties for the ladies, and some tissue paper (para sa luha), click on the links and try not to cry.

This page is dedicated to us, the Class of '84: the Sugarhill Gang, the '84s, RPTS, FONJ, Watchmacallit, AVA-JJJ, Foursome Blues, and other barkadas and batchmates that I've failed to mention (sorry), our teachers, other faculty and school personnel. And to the memories of Joseph and Leo, wherever they may be (!). And to all those who share the Angelicum spirit.

[editor's note: i put all our stuff in a few pages as possible para madaling mag-loload. at syempre, mas madaling gawin.
it's a big file so maghintay na lang kayo. nyokey?]

 THE ANGELICUM HYMN*
                                               Lyrics and Music by Sr. Ma. Agnes Karasig, OP

                                        Angelicum, Angelicum immortal name resounding,
                                        Proclaim we now  with mingled awe and love with
                                           song  unending;
                                        Behold your youthful faces line your halls of human wisdom,
                                        We come to seek the gift sublime of St. Thomas' faith
                                           and vision.
                                        Living Source of truth agaisnt the errors of our time.
                                        Shining star of hope against despair of our age;
                                        Flaming torch of love against the hatred of our foes,
                                        Gift of brotherhood on earth;
                                        Guide our innocence and youth;
                                        Spark our fervent dreams with truth!

                                        Angelicum, Angelicum through you God dwells among us,
                                        Cradle of saints, our nation's hope,
                                        Beloved school, watch over us.
                                        We seek the truth, we stand for right,
                                        We seek the truth, we stand for right,
                                        We live for justice, we  grow  in  love;
                                         All in your name, Angelicum,
                                         Glorious name forever.

  The Angelicum College Hymn was composed by Sr. Ma. Agnes Karasig, OP on May 31, 1972. It
 ardently exhorts the youth of Angelicum College to seek the sublime gifts of the faith and vision of
St. Thomas Aquinas, the institution's patron saint.
