Prayer Room

This is a room of prayer and hope. Please stay as long as you like, and leave gently, carrying the hopes and prayers with you in your heart.

All are welcome to add a prayer. Religion and denomination are not important--faith is. I will post prayers weekly and leave them there as long as you wish. Please e-mail me with your prayer, or add it to my guest book below. If you do not want your name to be used, please let me know.

Your Prayer Here

I pray that we will know clearly
what to decide about 4 month old Natasha.
She is available for adoption
and has Treacher-Collins Syndrome.
We have only fundamental knowledge
of this illness,
and are seeking divine guidance
in making an adoption plan
with her East Indian birthparents.

Who ever is out there
that listens to the hopes and dreams
of those you call your children,
hear me.
Let me look deep within myself
so that I may see how I am truly a child of God.
Let me not be afraid of myself and of that around me.
Let my eyes be opened to find truth in those who do love me.
I pray that I can become a better person
and see the divine in everyone and everything.
I pray for those I have not met, have met, and will meet in the future.
May I always wear a smile even though my heart is wearing a frown.
May I wake up each morning...
Let me not take for granted which I may not ever see again..
Let my prayer dance around....
Just let my prayer be heard.....
Just let it be....

Thank You..

I pray each day over the crib
of my unborn adopted Indian daughter.
Who will she be?
Will she come soon?
I have held a prayer vigel over her crib
for three weeks,
and I believe that my prayers
will be answered.

I am petitioning you Lord,
to give me the patience to wait,
to be a mother again,
and I am petitioning you Lord,
that we will not have to travel to India for her,
and that she will be born in the US.

Please grant me the serenity
to accept the things I can not change,
And to change the things I can not accept.

Hindu Prayer for Peace

Oh God, lead us from the
unreal to the Real.
Oh God, lead us from darkness to light.
Oh God, lead us from death to immortality.
Shanti, Shanti, Shanti unto all.
Oh Lord God almighty, may there be peace in
celestial regions.
May there be peace on Earth.
May the waters be appeasing.
May herbs be wholesome, and may trees
plants bring peace to all. May all beneficent
beings bring peace to us.
May thy Vedic Law propogate peace all
through the world.
May all things be a source of peace to us.
And may thy peace itself, bestow peace on all
and may that peace come to me also.

- The Peace Seeds

The Prayer of St Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith
Where there is despair, hope
Where there is darkness, light
where there is sadness, joy
O Divine Master,
grant that i may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console
To be understood, as to understand,
To be loved, as to love
For it is in giving, that we receive,
It is in pardoning, that we are pardoned,
It is in dying, that we are born to eternal life

I am having this back pain and is going to my legs, can't get proper sleep-
Lord have mercy on me..
please bless me with good thinking and health-
I thank thee allmighty,

--Jake Jacobs

Please lord Ganesha and Hanuman,
Remove the hinderances that are preventing my company
from being successful.
Bless me with the strength and courage to:
withstand these testing times,
discharge my responsibilities not only to the best of my abilities,
but sufficient to turn my company around.
maintain steady temperment,
be a good spouse

Please Bless everybody with good health,
character, and sufficient wealth
for comfortable living.

Blessed are the Peacemakers

I pray that all God's children
be protected from evil terrorists and be able to grow up
in a world free of hatred and violence.
May all their mothers and fathers
teach them the way of peace.

And may the terrorists realize
that God does not support the murders
they carry out in His name, or in any name.
He weeps for all the lost children,
and all the dreams that color the rivers red
and wash away with a single bullet,
never to be fully seen for what God intended them to be.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they alone shall see God.

May the Divine One protect my job during this difficult time.

--Amber

May God bless my brother Senthil,
and remind him that although he is far from his family,
in the Sivaloka, he is surrounded by love always and eternally.
May he always have God's bliss and protection.
May he never fear to venture forth
to bridge the gap between two cultures
so beautifully.

Women's Daily Prayer

I, who am daughter of the Goddess herself,
pray that today I walk one full step towards Her light,
that I walk gently upon the Earth and all creation,
and leave not behind a rude or hurried imprint,
nor any bad thing;
but instead, leave a seed of hope
to replace the one that was given me.

I pray this day that ever task have meaning,
and all my words are kind and pure,
all acts honorable and loving,
and all thoughts true to my nature
as befits a member of the Craft of the Wise.

I pray that I may look upon each challenge
as an invitation to learn,
and each bad thing as a chance to love and heal
those placed within my sphere of being.

I pray that I may be
Maiden in ambition and hope;
Mother in love, healing, and growing,
and Crone in wisdom and in reflection.

All these I ask
with a sincere and honorable heart,
and as a Daughter of the Divine.

As I pray, so mote it be!

It is our dream to have a mainstream, all-denominational,
Hindu temple in our area.
Please say a little prayer for the Phoenix-area Hindu community
to help us realize our dream.
Thank you.
