The memory etched and aching within
Unsettles the solitude,
The contented becomes curious.
Does the mind and body
Remember what the heart and soul
Refuse to forget?
Does the space between
Slow the journey of a soul
Separated into halves?
Does destiny allow them
To be together in a time
When the outer shell
Of the spirits are denied
The release of passion and desire?
Can the years erase the joining
Of those destined to each other
Across the distance
By voice and an undeniable bond?
Do the fragments of joy and pain
Float away with the changing seasons
Or become embedded by yearning
And last for life?
Do the battles and barriers
Never end for those whose feelings
Will not cease to grow
And can never be torn apart?
In time, the divided soul must trust
In love, answers are many and waiting.
In destiny, there must be faith.
In each other, we must believe...
