On Void, Thought and Creation
Topic: Spiritual ponderings

The Void is emptiness, and stillness and nothingness, quiet and nonexistence. Nothing exists within the Void. Thought encompasses (contains) the Void and the Void interpenetrates Thought. It's impossible to separate the two, they are distinct and yet... One. They are so One that it is almost impossible to perceive, for the human mind... to perceive how One can be two, or two can be One. They interpenetrate one another so completely... that it just is. That they are. And they appear as One.

There is a difference between Void and Thought. And yet Thought can take the appearance of Void, of emptiness and can take the appearance of All That Is, of Creation. Both. And the Void interpenetrates all Creation as well, so it is impossible to separate them. Wherever there is Light (vibration), which is Creation there is also Darklight, which is the Void. So there are the two, just as there are the two within the Void itself. But Light is not Thought, light is vibration. Darklight is not vibration. But the two coexist. Darklight interpenetrates Light, so Darklight interpenetrates vibration. Thought is not vibration; Thought is something else.

The Void is Darklight, emptiness, and nonexistence. The Void exists within Creation. It interpenetrates Creation. The two are separate and yet... there is a Void space where there is no Light (vibration). So Creation and the Void from that standpoint are separate, but the Void interpenetrates Creation. The Void was the beginning, before there was Light (vibration), Creation, Heaven, and Earth. And it takes the combination of the two Darklight or Void (Goddess) and Thought (God) to begin the Creation process. It was the coming together of Darklight and Thought, the decision to do something other that Created Light (vibration). And that is what created the polarities, the dualities, the worlds, that was the beginning...and from there it expanded.

One is not greater then the other, they exist within each other. The ‘masculine is better then', or ‘feminine is better then', is a human concept. There is nothing that is better then anything else. All are Equal, and all are Loved, because all are Creation. That is Creation, not the Parents of Creation. Parents are an accurate concept, but perhaps there is a better word. The Parents of Creation are Void and Thought (Goddess and God) and ‘All Creation' is Loved by the Parents.

There can't be one without the other, there are always both; even in androgyny there are both. And one is never greater then the other. That is the nature of this Creation. Darkness isn't bad, feminine isn't bad, negative isn't bad. It's the other polarity. And masculine isn't good, light isn't good, it just is, it just exists. The good/bad concept is erroneous; it is not one that can be applied in this situation.

Following are excerpts from the stories of Creation told in several religions, I enjoy seeing the similarities...

From Hindu Vedic Hymns, ‘In the beginning, Hiranyagarbha (golden womb/thought) floated around in water in the emptiness and the darkness of the non-existence (void)... then broke into two halves (darkness and light) which formed the Swarga (heaven) and the Prithvi (earth).'

From the Taoist Creation story, ‘In the beginning is Wuji, or Tao - an undifferentiated Unity (thought), beyond vibration (void).' ‘Tao is the nameless Void. Tao is considered by Laozi (great master) to be that which eternally gives without being depleted, and eternally receives without being filled. That which does not exist for its own sake is able to endure. The Tao is the ultimate force behind the Creation. With tao, nothingness gave rise to existence, existence gave rise to yin (darkness) and yang (light), and yin and yang gave rise to everything'

In Christianity the Bible begins Genesis 1:1-4, ‘In the beginning God (thought) created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and Void: and darkness was upon the face of the deep (void). And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be Light; and there was Light And God saw the light, that it was good: and God dived the light (yang) from the darkness (yin).'

Energetic build up causing discomfort...
Topic: Reiki

I had the following Reiki question posed to me recently and thought that the question and answer would be a good blog subject.

The question relates to energetic build up. Many people are experiencing it and may not know what it is or how to cope with it. My answers can be applied in any situation where build up occurs.

Reiki Question: A group of about 9 trained Reiki people meet periodically and when sitting in a circle to apply beaming to each other one person gets so charged with energy, seemingly arising from the solar plexus that it almost becomes unbearable to sit through the process. She wants to get up and run to ease the build-up.  How can she deal with this as she is saying she doesn't think she can continue to meet with the group because the experience is so uncomfortable for her?  Would you know what is causing this?

My Answer: I think I may be able to shed some light. When a group of people beam Reiki/energy the energy is amplified by each practitioner in the circle. Just the same as it is when one receives hands-on from a group... the energy is said to be squared by each additional practitioner giving hands on. So what is being generated and experienced is a very large volume of energy indeed.

When energy moves up the spine and around the body through the energy channels, if there is a block in any area the energy begins to build up. As it builds, heat can be the first thing experienced and then pressure, then pain. When there is a block in the solar plexus energy center (chakra) it can be experienced in either the front or back of the body. In the front it usually feels like an extreme stomach ache (almost like being stabbed by a knife). At the back it feels like a sever back ache. A block in the heart energy center (chakra) may be experienced as pressure at the physical heart or as pain between the shoulder blades. Energy blocks can also be experienced as sciatic pain; gas, bloating and intestinal discomfort; a sore throat, tickle and/or desire to cough; as a splitting headache or pain in arms, hands, legs or feet.

This can happen whenever there is a great flow of energy and is not related to Reiki, perse. I've actually experienced something similar just walking on the land with friends, in restaurants and going to different towns for the day. In these instances it is most likely the result of the combined energy of the individuals, the location, the day and even the subject matter being discussed. Best to monitor, change discussions, locations, etc. and see if it dissipates. If it does not try one of the suggestions below or get in your car and leave; because sometimes just changing company/locations can begin to dissipate the energy.

So what can be done...
  • For immediate relief... I have found that a chiropractic adjustment of the spine helps me temporarily. Sometimes if the vertebra are subluxated it creates a block or pinch in energy flow resulting in pain. A quick method of adjustment is to have the person cross their arms high on their chest, a big strong someone stands behind grabs around the arms, lifts them off the floor and very gently shakes once. You should hear a pop. Never do this with force, nor to a person with back problems.
  • Energetic build up symptoms can also happen if the person isn't grounded. A quick way to ground is to grab the feet of the ungrounded person and feel them come back into their body. Try it with the group holding the person's feet and see if it works faster.
  • When there is too much energy... scooping it off of the area and throwing it onto the floor helps relieve excess build up. Do this until it feels different, cooler or less vibrant.
  • I would also suggest the person try to uncover the cause of the block and work on it with Reiki. Some things that can cause blocks... a past life experience of breaking the back or being stabbed in the stomach, causing death would be a remembered soul trauma. This may carry over as a block in one's energy field in this lifetime. A physical injury to the area; emotional trauma such as not feeling loved; or mental trauma such as not feeling supported financially or otherwise can also cause energy blocks.

To work on an unknown cause of a block with Reiki/energy... write on a piece of paper the person's name, age, location and condition (i.e. pressure/pain in solar plexus). Ask Reiki to work on the cause of the pain/pressure and hold the paper in hand until energy balances. To work on self put hands on area (solar plexus) and ask Reiki specifically to uncover, remove and heal the block in your body (cause, core, effect, record, memory and connection). Work until energy balances (5 minutes, 1 hour or more). Do this daily until condition resolves. Know that while you work on it with Reiki it may be possible for the energy to build again and cause discomfort until the core issue is released.

Vatican's list of the new 7 deadly sins... with commentary
Topic: Other ponderings

Have you read the latest from Bishop Gianfranco Girotti, head of the Vatican body that oversees confessions and plenary indulgences. See the full article at: http://www.weeklystandard.com/Utilities/printer_preview.asp?idArticle=14949&R=13A16D2A5

Here is the Vatican's list of the new 7 deadly sins...

  1.  Drug abuse
  2.  Morally debatable experimentation
  3.  Environmental pollution
  4.  Causing poverty
  5.  Social inequality and injustice
  6.  Genetic manipulation
  7.  Accumulating excessive wealth
A thoughtful list... all things which cut one off from Spirit/God... which numb body and mind and prevent soul from fully permeating body.  FYI, the original 7 deadly sins are... Envy, Gluttony (eating too much or a great desire for something), Lust (a great sexual desire or any intense desire for something), Anger, Sloth (laziness), and Greed.
I pondered this list a bit.  Following are my thoughts on the subject... what do you think?
  1. Drug abuse - Drugs, whether illegal or pharmaceutical pollute the body and numb the mind making both so toxic that a relationship to God/Spirit is impossible. When the body/mind is numb one cannot feel/sense what is going on around them, they are cut off from being a true Hu-man (God/Spirit permeated body). They loose their connection so cannot experience the fullness of Life nor feel the Love which permeates 'All That Is'. They are walking 'dead'. Drug abuse is akin to Lust a great desire for something (i.e. a desire to be pain free, or to escape life, or to let go of inhibitions, or seeking freedom from, etc.)... which is beyond reason.
  2. Morally debatable experimentation - Morally debatable experimentation keeps one in a boiling pot of intensity and creates isolation. It cuts one off from their humanity and the feelings of love and compassion for self and others. This focus does not allow peace and quietude... the time where one can hear the small quiet voice and sense the connection and communion with nature and God/Spirit/Self. Where one places thoughts or focuses attention manifests results in life. If morally debatable experimentation is rampant in a society it is a cry or call for love, kindness and help and perhaps a need for that society to re-evaluate its' current focus.
  3. Environmental pollution - When one pollutes the environment they also pollute body/self. Environmental pollution is akin to Sloth. From the most mundane and obvious perspective... polluting the Earth is like living in one's toilet with all of one's excrement. Earth is where we live, breathe, eat, play and work... 24/7/365... the question would be 'What do you want?' As well, pollution like drugs pollute the body and numb the mind making both so toxic that a relationship to God/Self is nearly impossible.
  4. Causing poverty - What one does to others, one ultimately does to self. Causing poverty is akin to Greed. Because of an excessive desire for wealth, one amasses and hordes. Hording stops flow... if there is a limited amount of anything and one hordes, it creates disparity. Hording behavior will ultimately collapse a society. It creates grasping desire and slavery consciousness. One becomes a slave to that which has been horded on both sides... trying to keep (or horde more) or trying to get (get out of poverty). If all of one's time and focus are spent on grasping one loses connection to God/Self, compassion and their humanity.
  5. Social inequality and injustice - We may wear individual customized skins, but ultimately we are all One. We are all equal and all Loved by God/Spirit. Inequality and injustice to one or one segment, hurts all and disrupts balance and nature order. It perpetuates separation, hate and war. This concept of social inequality and injustice extends to and through the individual, government, church, workplace, humanity and all life. It is based on seeing someone or something as 'better then' or 'less then'. Until we can individually and collectively transcend seeing difference as a bad thing and embrace each other for our uniqueness with love and celebration, we will continue to perpetuate this particular behavior and live in 'fear'. F.E.A.R. is simply False Evidence Appearing Real. Elimination of inequality and injustice begins with self. The relationship with self to self, to family, to friends, to colleagues, to society and to all humanity. When one has love, kindness and respect for self they can easily turn that love, kindness and respect outward to 'all that is'.
  6. Genetic manipulation - Manipulation of Genetic material and cloning without understanding the ultimate long-term effect of that manipulation relates to the saying 'they know not what they do'. If one has an enlightened perspective and the knowledge of 'all that is' they know full well what the long-term outcome will be of one small change to DNA. Therefore they can make that change with confidence and for the highest good of all concerned. Without the same perspective Genetic manipulation is ignorantly 'playing God'.
  7. Accumulating excessive wealth - As in Causing poverty Accumulating excessive wealth is akin to Greed. Because of an excessive desire for wealth, one amasses and hordes. Hording stops flow... if there is a limited amount of anything and one hordes this creates disparity. Hording behavior will ultimately collapse a society. It creates grasping desire and slavery consciousness. One becomes a slave to that which has been horded on both sides... trying to keep (haves) or trying to get (have-nots). If all of one's time and focus are spent on grasping one loses connection to God/Self, compassion and their humanity.
