Hi am welcome to my page about Romeo and Juliet. I am a big fan of this movie. WHAT IS THIS MOVIE ABOUT?? TWO HOUSEHOLDS both alike in dignityIn FAIR VERONA where we lay our scene From ANCIENT GRUDGE break to new mutinyWhere civil BLOOD makes civil hands unclean From forth to FATAL loins of these two FOES a pair of STAR CROSSED LOVERS take their LIFE! This is a tragic love story based on two lovers from two different households that don't get along. The Capulets (Juliets family) have a costume party and Romeo comes to it. He was a night in shining armor and Juliet is a beautiful Angel. The first time that Romeo and Juliet lock eyes is through a fish tank. They fell in love right then and there. They couldn't stop thinking about each other. When Romeo visits Juliets house they decide that they should get married but they had to keep it a secret because of their families. The only people that knew was Juliets nurse and Father Lawerence. A few days later Juliet's father decides on a proper husband for her. Juliet was so sad about it. She didn't want to marry Dave Paris. So she goes to Father Lawrence and he gives her a mixture that would make people think that she was dead but she would awaken so that she could be with her Romeo. Father Lawrence sent Romeo a letter but it never got to him. So Romeo also thought that Juliet was dead. So when he finds out he says "Well Juliet I will lie with thee tonight." He goes and purchases poison to help him for his eternal sleep. Then he goes to the church to see his Juliet. He says his goodbyes and drinks it. Just as he drank it she awoke to see what her Romeo did. So She ends her life as well. So they could be together forever. WHO'S IN IT?? WHAT I THINK OF THE MOVIE I think that this movie was truly romantic. I mean if you kill yourself for somebody else then that is true love. The handsome Leonardo DiCaprio was a good Romeo and he showed great emotion and Claire Danes was a good Juliet because she also showed great emotion and played it like it was really happening. I really loved this movie. It makes you laugh, cry, and it just makes you do all of your emotions in it especially towards the end. But I loved this movie and if you haven't seen it I strongly urge you to go and see it. WHO WROTE IT?? The writer of this movie was William Shakespeare. He is a great writer and has many more classic stories like Hamlet and some others. Other people that helped with this movie was Baz Luhrmann, Gabriella Martinelli, Craig Pierce, and Donald M. McAlpine. SOUNDTRACK There are two soundtracks avalable now. The 1st one has songs like #1Crush by Garbage, Local God by Everclear, Angel by Gaven Friday, Pretty Piece of Flash by One Inch Punch, Kissing You by Des'ree, Whatever by Butthole Surfers, Lovefool by The Cardigans, Young Hearts Run Free by Kym Mazelle, To You I Bestow by Mundy, Talk Show Host by Radiohead, Little Star by Stina Nordenstam, and You and Me Song by The Wannadies. The 2nd cd has Prologue,O Verona, The Montague Boys, Gas Staion Scene, O Verona(reprise), Interduction to Romeo, Queen Mab Interlude, Young Hearts Run Free (Ballroom version0, Kissing You (Instrumental) Balcony Scene, When Doves Cry, A Challenge, Tybalt Arrives, Fight Scene, Mercutios Death, Drive to Death, Slow Movement, Morning Breaks, Juliets Requiem, Mantuna, Escape From Mantuna, Death Scene, Liebestod, and the Epilogue. The second cd is mostly just instrumental. But if you do not have these cd's you should get them because they are good I know because I have them both.
