Of course, there are the nerds and the geeks. There might be a little
friction but when it comes to the business
of the Electronics Society of Mapua, every one
takes part in it. There are always different viewpoints in a group.
There are the Study-All-No-Vice "S-Men", the Shy Ones: new
applicants and members, the Study-and-Vice
"Friday Club" - they are the Drunken Masters
and I'm proud to be part of it.
Despite these differences, ESM is still united as one.
In January 20, 1994, the Mapua Outdoor Club was formed by Rommel "Ago"
Agoncillo, together with Noel
Callosa, Jerome Mercado, Joann Dela Cerna, Jojo Manosca, Vincent Banas, Mary
Ann Rodriguez, and Ted
Cornel. The MOC has no intentions of rivalling the Mapua Mountaineers, "Ago" and the rest just has different
points-of-view. And so from the S-men, Shy Ones, and Friday Club came the "Nature Trippers" and the
Mapua Outdoor Club.
Everytime the ESM has an organizational outing and induction of new officers
and members, the MOC is given
the task to scout for possible outing venues.
When it comes to nature tripping, mountaineering, rappelling, spelunking, rock climbing, among others, the
Mapua Outdoor Club members joins the adventure.
