JEEVASHRAM IS A NON PROFIT MAKING ORGANISATION, ESTABLISHED IN 1990. The prime objectives of the organisation are: "To promote kindness and prevent or suppress cruelty to animals." To successfully implement the above objectives it has set up an animal shelter with excellent medical facilities in Rajokri. JEEVASHRAM'S AREAS OF PRIORITY IN ANIMAL WELFARE 1. COMPANION ANIMALS. Programs to control the stray animal population. Emphasis on responsible pet ownership. 2. FARM ANIMALS. Educating owners regarding basic care, suppression of cruelty in transport, export and slaughter of food animals. Treating sick and injured cows and sending them to gaushalas when recovered. Our policy at Jeevashram is to take on International Vets for six months of the year (October to March,when the weather is mild!) We currently have a British Vet working with us. Facilities

A fully fledged hospital for both large and small animals which includes eighteen kennels, an area for large animals, and a cattery.
X-ray machine and operation theatre.
Mobile dispensary which gives free medical aid to bullocks, horses, and other draught animals in distress.
Private boarding on a payment basis to finance our various welfare projects. For the pets accommodation, there is a separate unit, consisting of large enclosures inside, and access to an enclosed individual run .
We also offer pre and post surgical care, provide veterinary services between 9am and 5pm, boarding and lodging facilities for whelping bitches, and attend to house calls.
