On of my favorite *FAVORITE* song form Jars of Clay is Hymn. The first time I listened to that song I thought to myself "Wow!" and I still say "Wow!" to myself everytime I hear it. To me, it's saying that even when I go through a "ragged hour" not to worry about anything when things go bad or wrong, or different from the way that I wanted to see it work out. We all still need to cry in our "cold of night" or "dust of day." And also, when everything goes so right in our lives, we need to thank Him and praise Him then also and no to be so proud that we can't pray to God about things just because we might thing the problem are to great for Him to handle. Hi this is jarsjammer from the Jars discussion zone!! :o) you wanted jars stories? will.. I've got a kind of funny one this happened for real. I was at a jars concert in Marion, Indian back in october, and I was hanging out with Steve after the show was over. I was kind of in a trance, 'cuz I never expected I could just talk to him like that. Scott, the drummer, was also over there with Steve. He was telling me about his wife, and how she works at the YWCA. I was listening to him, but I noticed a short guy clear on the other side of the auditoriom. I wasn't thinkg and blurted out to Steve "where's Charlie?" He goes " um I don't know..he should be around here." I just stood there and looked over at the short dude again. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks! that short dude IS Charlie! It hit me on impulse, and I RAN across the place, and I almost fell over a guy movinga speaker! I got over to Charlie, out of breath, and these 2 guyswere standing with him talking about how they wanted to start a band. I patiently waited. Charlie nodded a lot, saw me, and said hi! I didn't know he was talking to me so I looked around. The 2 guys moved and Charlie goes "hi, how are you?" then I knew he was talinging to me. I felt dumb for not knowing in the first place that was him though! Megan
HI! I had this really CRAZY dream about the Jars. It took place at Night of Joy. Well, you know how the Jars goes around taling to each other? For example, during Cray Times, Dan went to Steve and said "Boy, there's a wild crowd tonight." Steve replied to that by saing, "I know. People are shouting "play with your teeth Steve, play with you teeth!" And I don't know how this happens but, they just go into a fight. They kept saying somthing like, "Well you think you're so all that, and you know things like that" When the crowd saw that they were not singing, they just shut up. Charlie came over and said, "Come on guys, don't start now." Dan just became so mad he goes "You know what Carlie, I can't stand it when you come into my conversations. I am not talking to you so just SHUT UP!" Now Matt, he was watchin them. But when he heard what Dan said he came over and said "come on Dan leave him alone: Charle said "Matt if you just let me speak I can stick up for myself" Steve said "Gosh Charlie he was just giving you some credit." and Dan goes, "CREDIT!! What do you know about credit?" And they argued and argued and then...my alarm clock rang and I had to go to school. Natasha (JarsCraz5) Jars has effected my life in many ways. The first being my music, Jars was the first band in awhile I had heard that jut grabbed me from the first track of the first album. I heard Liquid went "WOW I like this this!" And the album stayed in my CD player for like the next 6 months AT LEAST (literally.) The second thier ministry. They strive all the time to be men of God constantly, and strive to remain pridless in all thier success. Jars are great guys, and great musicians. Oby_Knoby
