My first 3 children were born in the hospital under the supervision of a doctor. After my first son was born I decided that I wanted to find a midwife. I went out searching for a midwife and found a chiropractor doctor who delivered babies in his clinic or at the client's home.

After that birth I was sold on the idea of taking charge of my own birth. Since that time, I have used all types of midwives; Traditional, Lay, Certified, Licensed,and Certifed Nurse Midwife. Each midwife had their own special gift and I grew from each birthing experience.

The midwife that I related the best with was of course the midwife which had the same belief system. I was so excited to find a Christian midwife. That particular midwife played a major role in my becoming a midwife. She was an encouragement and exhorter of the Word.
