Adventures in the Young Kingdoms

The Young Kingdoms, in the time of Elric of Melnibone, were heading for a great battle and finally a new beginning ... or an ending according to Michael Moorcock's Elric saga. I decided to use the base of his stories and let the players decide the outcome based upon their actions.

It worked fairly well and is still going even after the Conjunction of the Million Spheres and the war between Law and Chaos...but I get ahead of myself.

The players created 125 point characters from anywhere except Melnibone and Sorcerers Isle. I used the ritual magic rules as discussed on my Skills page and no one began the game with magic or spells. Eventually players came to use magic and based upon circumstances I waved the ritual magic rules as the Mana level of the land as a whole was increased constantly due to the intervention of Chaos.

This adventure was a series of adjusted AD&D and Stormbringer modules from back in the day that I ran as background for the main conflict. The underlying story wove the modules into a greater scheme with several side adventures and intrigue along the way.
