"Here, you can wear these," I tossed Taylor a pair of pants and a T-shirt. "Just leave your clothes in there, don't worry about them." "Ok, thanks," he said and disappeared into the bathroom. 'Sidney, you are crazy. You invite a guy you barely know into your bedroom when no one else is around. Smart. Real smart.' I told myself as I changed into dry clothes. Taylor startled me when he entered the room again. He wearing only the black Adidas pants I had given him. "No shirt?" I asked, somewhat pleased he had decided against it. "Nah, what for?" his question was asked in a retorical sense. I couldn't answer it and that was the way he wanted it to be. There was a long stretch of umcomfortable silence as we stood facing eachother, shifting our weight from foot to foot every so often. "Man, you sure do live in a nice house," he said, referring to what he had seen as he came inside. "Yeah," I nodded simply, not wanting to get into the history of why I had come to live here. A pause in conversation. "You lied to me," he said bluntly. I looked him straight in the eye,"I had to." "No, you didn't. If you had told me I would have understood," he stated harshly. "You couldn't understand unless you were in my position. I can't just go up to anyone and tell them I'm being abused, its not that easy!" I began to raise my voice. "Well I'm not just anyone, I'm your friend!" he was just as loud. I cowered away from him when I heard his tone. Instinct told me that a punch or some type of injury came after any male got upset. He saw this. "No..I..please..I'm not-" he didn't know what to say. I sighed and stepped towards him,"Its alright,Taylor. Its alright, you dont have to say anything." "When that guy came after you I felt like it was my job to try and protect you. I can't just stand by and watch some one get hurt over and over again. Especially you," he said rather quietly. It was such a sweet thing to say that I didn't even have an answer. I looked at him closely, realizing I never had before. 'Good looking, very good looking,' I thought to myself. "Ya know, things were pretty nice before Nick interrupted us," I began. "Maybe we could pick that up again." Oh what the hell- I didn't have to ask him twice. Taylor grabbed my waist and pulled me against him. After feeling his tounge once I yearned for the taste more and more. I collapsed back onto the bed, making him land on top of me. His bare skin was soft, almost as soft as his lips. I rolled over and sat up for a quick second, only long enough to remove my shirt. I threw it to somewhere unknown and then dove back into Taylor's strong hold.
No, no it wasn't sex. It was something much better. Taylor was too special of a person to waste on a one night stand and then say good-bye to. I wanted to save him for something worth while and long lasting.
"Oh God. Its already morning. My parents are gonna kill me," he groaned when we awoke. I stretched and turned over to look at him. Small rays of sunlight crept in through the tiny spaces in the blinds and cast small cicles of sunshine on our faces. I yawned,"So it is." I leaned over and kissed him, pulling away a bit disappointed when no tounge was involved. Eh- it was morning, that could wait. The digital clock on my nightstand read 9:17am. Too early for me but Taylor was wide eyed and ready to begin the day. "Man, am I ever gonna get it when I walk in the door," he foreshadowed his own grounding. "Just tell them you slept over a friend's house and you forgot to call," I said simply and yawned again. He seemed to be considering the lie but knew he wouldn't get away with it. Taylor swung his legs around the edge of the bed and stood up. After a long stretch and a scratch of his messy blond hair, he bent over a kissed me. "Bye, I'll call you later," he held his face in front of mine for a moment. I nodded and pulled away from him much satisfiedthis time- tounge of coarse. The door quietly shut as he left; I rolled back over onto my other side and fell asleep again.
The noisy morning calls of the neighborhood children and normal hustle and bustle of a new day finally annoyed me to the point where I was coaxed from my bed. A shower and three mugs of coffee managed to get me through until mid-afternoon. By that time, the usual Saturday boredom had gone into full force. Only when a strange visitor came to my house, did the day seem to take a turn in events.
